C.E.O. Scores 3 Awards

Columbus CEO

Columbus C.E.O. has won three awards in the 2011 Ohio SPJ Awards, sponsored by the Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists. Awards will be presented Oct. 22 in Cleveland.

Staff writer Jennifer Wray received a second place award in the Best Business Profile category for "The Big Gamble," our October 2010 cover story about whether a casino will save the West Side. She also earned second place for "Spotlighting Battelle," a feature from our September 2010 issue, in the Best Newsmaker Profile category.

Editorial assistant Michelle Davey scored a second-place win in Best Health Care Reporting for her story on mental health insurance coverage. "Prepared for Parity" ran in March 2010.

Congratulations also to our sister divisions Columbus Monthly, The Other Paper and Suburban News Publications for a combined 13 wins.
