Healthcare Achievement Awards 2018
One is a minister who discovered housing was the key to improving his neighborhood's health. Another is a retired hairdresser who spends every Monday volunteering at one of the oldest independent cancer clinics in the country. A third is a California-bred physician who became a pioneering Columbus public health advocate.
Their stories, backgrounds and beliefs are often very different. But each—along with the 14 other honorees inColumbus CEO's sixth annual Healthcare Achievement Awards—does share something in common: All are making our city a better, more healthy place—and that's something worth celebrating.
Healthcare, of course, is a massive, complicated industry, representing 18 percent of our country's gross domestic product. As it touches us in so many ways—and is a critical component of a robust business environment—it makes sense for a business publication to honor the best of the best in the field—the devoted practitioners, innovative thinkers and caring volunteers who promote good health in our region.
