Lola’s Kitchen + Bar recently opened Downtown at 201 S. High St. The menu features salads, pizzas and a variety of mains such as baked rigatoni, beef tenderloin, roasted salmon and more. The new spot also serves weekend brunch.
Freedom a la Cart’s new Downtown café and bakery opened today at 123 E. Spring St. The social enterprise provides support and workforce training to survivors of sex trafficking. Columbus Monthly more about Freedom a la Cart’s mission and its new café here.
In case you missed it, Third Way Café recently opened a coffee bar inside the art gallery at All People Arts on the South Side at 1865 Parsons Ave. This is the second location for Third Way, which opened its first location three years ago at 3058 W. Broad St. in Westgate.
The long-awaited grand opening of Budd Dairy Food Hall (1086 N. Fourth St.) takes place Tuesday, April 6, at 4 p.m. Read more about the food hall’s 10 vendor’s here.
Wolf’s Ridge Brewing is collaborating with Cleveland’s Fat Head’s Brewery on a new dry-hopped gose called This Gose to 11. The new brew (featuring Azacca hops, sea salt, coriander and lemongrass) hits Cleveland stores and Wolf’s Ridge’s online store today. Both breweries are serving it on tap while supplies last.
Through May 1, Comune (677 Parsons Ave.) is donating $2 from every order of its beloved popular Crispy Rice dish to the Asian American Community Services (AACS), a community-based nonprofit working to improve the wellbeing and quality of life for Asian American and Pacific Islander families in Central Ohio. Comune remains closed for dine-in but is open for carryout 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and 5–8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Novak’s Tavern & Patio (475 N. High St.) announced on social media that it will reopen Thursday, April 15. The Short North watering hole has been closed since January because of the pandemic.
