This the season for awards at Columbus CEO. Each October, November and December we plan, publicize, congratulate, photograph, write, shepherd and produce two premier programs—Future 50 and CEO of the Year, which is a particularly substantial undertaking for our small team. It’s also during this time of year that we’re soliciting nominations for Top Workplaces (nominations closed Nov. 19) and Healthcare Achievement Awards (nominations due Dec. 31).

We spent two days in November at the Columbus Athletic Club, which generously offered us its space, shooting portraits of 48 of our 50 Future 50 members of the class of 2022. They’ll be featured in our January issue, and you can see who made the list this year here.

We’re proud to partner again this year with Mills James in producing CEO of the Year, which is the heart and soul of this month’s magazine. We gathered in November in Mills James’ studios with our winners, the wonderful Mills James team, associate photo editor Rob Hardin and associate editor Jess Deyo to record interviews and take portraits. In a time when seeing people in person continues to be somewhat rare, at least for our team, it was energizing to shake hands and share space.

In early December, look for our virtual CEO of the Year celebration video in your inbox. If you don’t get our emails, sign up at columbusceo.com/newsletters.

Happy holidays!
