Columbus' global business ties strong

The Central Ohio business community maintains impressive foreign connections, according to a 2018 report from the Columbus Council on World Affairs, which was profiled in the February 2020 issue of Columbus CEO. It is linked to more than 85 countries, and 60,661 local jobs are provided by

foreign-owned companies.

  • 32 local companies operate1,828 establishments in more than85 countriesaround the world.
  • The top three local companies operate 1,372 foreign establishmentsin countries around the world (66% of the total).
  • 60,661 are employed by foreign-owned companies, and goods and services exports support57,966 jobs.
