How many people are buying electric vehicles in Central Ohio?

Is the push for drivers to go electric working? Here’s how many EVs were sold in the seven-county Columbus region from 2017 to spring 2020. Sales spiked in Q4 2018 when the Tesla Model 3 became available for purchase in Central Ohio. Sales are projected to jump again as buyers take advantage of the federal tax credit on a Tesla before year’s end.

Today, its EVs. Tomorrow, maybe it will be vehicles that are totally autonomous. Central Ohio's Transportation Research Center is conducting research to make that vision a reality.
