Central Ohio loans backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration have grown rapidly since 2010, when the effects of the Great Recession were still rippling.

Total annual loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Columbus District

and Cincinnati branch offices for Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway

and Union Counties were $236.47 million in 2018, up 153 percent from $93.67 million in 2010.

In this graphic, we tracked the growth of local loan volumes over the past decade for the SBA's 7a business operations loan program and the 504 capital loan program.

Columbus CEO thanks the Columbus office of the SBA for crunching the numbers for us.
