Women in Ohio politics: How many are there?

Columbus-based political action committee the Matriots is working toward the goal of 50 percent representation by women in Ohio elected offices by 2028. Here are current percentages by government level, according to the most recent data (2017). Following this week's General Election, the organization reported that 43 of its candidates won seats on city councils, boards of education and other government bodies.
