Your calendar is filling with holiday parties and soon the Christmas rush will be in full frenzy. This might be a good time to review plans for year-end to-dos.

That helps explain the growth of operations like Seven Studios and the area's storefront fitness centers.

Another good antidote to Black Friday buying is Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1. Local nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity, look forward to a strong response for this year's fourth annual affirmation that it is better to give than receive. Give until it hurts, and then relax with some yoga!
