SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The woman suing a prestigious Silicon Valley venture capital firm for alleged gender discrimination was given a generous severance package when she left the company. Yet she posted on an online message board that she had been fired.

Questioned during the trial on Thursday, Ellen Pao said she considered being told by the firm to leave in October 2012 termination.

Pao has said she was fired after complaining about gender bias at the firm. The firm has said she didn't perform well as a junior partner, twisted facts and didn't get along with her colleagues.
