Ice Industries expanding operations in Grenada
GRENADA, Miss. (AP) — Ice Industries Grenada says it is adding 50 jobs and investing $1.8 million in an expansion.
The announcement was made Wednesday in Grenada by Gov. Phil Bryant and company officials.
The unit of privately-held ICE Industries of Sylvania, Ohio, says it's making infrastructure upgrades, overhead crane improvements, and shipping and safety enhancements. New metal stamping and assembly equipment is also being installed to accommodate additional work from existing customers, as well as new work the company has acquired in the furniture industry.
It is the company's fifth expansion since 2010. It currently has 240 workers.
The factory makes parts for automobiles, appliances and heating and cooling equipment.
The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance in support of the project for building improvements. Grenada County provided assistance for the project, as well.
