SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Salt Lake City hospital official confirmed Wednesday morning that a man injured in a blast at a Wyoming natural gas storage tank has died.

University of Utah Hospital spokeswoman Marissa Villasenor says one of four workers injured in Tuesday's blast died overnight at the hospital's burn unit.

Villasenor says two other patients remained in the hospital's burn unit. She released no further details.

A fourth worker injured at the blast was treated locally and released.

K Leonard, a spokeswoman for Houston-based EOG Resources, which owns the tank, did not immediately return messages Wednesday.

Lincoln County Sheriff's Office spokesman Stephen Malik says the Tuesday afternoon blast occurred as a maintenance crew was cleaning out the tank in a field about 30 miles northwest of Green River.
