ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities are investigating a report of a suspicious device at the world's busiest airport in Atlanta.
Local media outlets are reporting the device was found in the departure area of the international terminal Monday afternoon and that passengers are not being allowed to check in for their flights.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport spokesman Reese McCranie tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the Atlanta Police Department is investigating.
Calls to the airport and authorities by The Associated Press have not been immediately returned.
Details about the device and potential flight delays weren't immediately available.
