White Castle held grand-opening ceremonies last week at its new frozen-food plant in Vandalia and said it expects the facility to employ more than 100 soon.

White Castle said it spent $19.4 million to build the plant near Dayton International Airport.

The plant, which began operations in December, produces frozen original Sliders, cheeseburgers and jalapeno cheese Sliders for distribution to retail outlets nationally.
