On Saturday, Nov. 30, the weekday statistics from midnight until 4 p.m. are as follows: 196 calls, one 911, seven offense reports, four crashes, 15 arrests and130 security checks.

Types of Arrests: One open container, one failure to appear warrant, three disorderly conduct, one failed to display valid plates or sticker, one failed to maintain control, one failure to reinstate, one theft, one public indency, one underage consumption, one OVI, one bench warrant, one criminal damaging and one assault.

The weekday statistics from 4 p.m. until midnight are as follows: 101 calls, one 911, three offense reports, one crash, six arrests and 27 security checks.

Types of Arrests: One domestic violence, one disorderly conduct, one theft, one driving under suspension and two OVI.

On Dec. 1, Kristine Reese of Sardinia reported to the Hillsboro Police Department that her vehicle was broken into and various items were taken while it was parked in a parking lot at the Old Depot, North West Street. Report is still under investigation.

On Dec. 1, Irene Garman, Hillsboro, driving a 2001 Toyota was traveling in the northbound lane in the parking lot at Walmart and struck a 1997 Ford that was backing from a parking space and was being driven by Karen Sword, Hillsboro.

On Dec. 2, Amanda Griffith, State Route 73, Hillsboro, driving a 2013 Chevrolet, was stopped in traffic in the northbound lane in the 1200 block of North High Street when the side mirror of her vehicle was struck by a 2001 Lincoln that was being driven by Helen Griffith, State Route 124, Hillsboro.

On Dec. 2 at 3:32 p.m., the manager at Highland Terrace, located at 737 North West St., reported to the department that a male had been barred from the premises and was on the property. Upon officers investigation, the male subject was located inside one of the apartments. Jeremy Fletcher, 26, of Hillsboro was arrested for criminal trespassing and was transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

Arrests Dec. 2:

Jason Payne, Circleville, was cited for improper backing.

Donna Pugh, Winchester, was cited for failure to file for registration.

On Dec. 2, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a crash in the 300 block of South West Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Jason Lee Payne, 22, of Circleville was backing from a private drive and failed to see an unoccupied vehicle owned by Michelle Thompson, 42, of Hillsboro, parked on the east side of the street and struck the vehicle in the left front. Payne was cited for improper backing.

On Dec. 3, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a crash in the 400 block of West South Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Tonta Jennette Wilson, 19, of Hillsboro was pulling off of Oak Street and swerved and struck an unoccupied vehicle belonging to Curtis Brewer of Hillsboro, which was parked on West South Street. Wilson was cited for operating vehicle without reasonable control.

Benjamin R. McCarty, 34, Hillsboro, driving under suspension.

Fifteen-year-old male of Hillsboro, trafficking in drugs.

Steven Heath Huffman, 26, Hillsboro, forgery and receiving stolen property.

Heather Nicole Conley, 24, Hillsboro, possession of heroin.

Amanda Christ Dingus, 27, Hillsboro, bench warrant, failure to appear.

Fifteen-year-old female of Hillsboro, conspiracy to commit to trafficking in drugs.

On Dec. 3, the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a stolen Kindle Fire from the basket of a motorized cart while at the Hillsboro Wal-Mart. On Dec. 4 the Kindle Fire was turned into the Hillsboro Police Department, which was located by a customer, in a basket of a motorized cart.

On Dec. 3, the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a theft from a vehicle while parked at Heartland on Friday, Nov. 29. On Dec. 3, a portion of the property was recovered at Heartland.

On Dec. 4, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a reported traffic accident at the intersection of High Street and Main Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Ashley Miller, 26, of Fayetteville, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, bumped the rear of a 2009 Toyota Camry, driven by Kay Gross, 52, of Leesburg. Both vehicles were still operable, no citation was issued.

Heather Mathews, 20, Hillsboro, citation: assured clear distance.

Joshua Miller, 26, Hillsboro, failed to pay city tax.

Christa Hart, 29, Hillsboro, arrested for theft.

Shaunna Keets, Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension.

Natasha Smith, Hillsboro, failed to pay city tax.

Amos Johnson, Hillsboro, failed to pay city tax.

The weekday statistics from 12:01 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2 until 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 are as follows: 373 calls, nine 911, five offense reports, seven accidents, 20 arrests and 89 security checks.

Types of Arrests: One improper backing, one failed to file for registration, one criminal trespassing, one forgery, two bench warrant, one failed to maintain control, two driving under suspension, one receiving stolen property, one trafficking drugs, two conspiracy to commit trafficking of drugs, one possession of heroin, one theft, one underage possession of alcohol, three failed to pay city tax and one assured clear distance ahead.

The weekend statistics from 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 until midnight Sunday, Dec. 8 are as follows: 74 calls, three accidents, two arrests and 52 security checks.

Types of Arrests: One driving under suspension and one bench warrant.

On Dec. 9, Dennis Myers, Winchester, driving a 2004 Pontiac, was backing from a parking space in the Kroger's parking lot on Harry Sauner Road and struck a 2001 Chevrolet that was being driven by Alexander Branscome, Hillsboro. Light damage was received by the Branscome vehicle.

Arrest: Cahill Deckert, 19, Hillsboro, was arrested for bench warrant and possession of drug instruments.

On Dec. 3, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of West North Street and North West Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that George Galimore, 87, of Hillsboro, operating a 2002 Dodge Neon, was at the West North Street stop sign waiting to pass through to continue eastbound. Karen Sword, 56, of Hillsboro, operating a 1997 Ford Ranger, was at the North West Street stop sign waiting to turn right onto North Street. Both drivers stopped and waited for the other to proceed, however both drivers passed through the intersection at the same time. Both drivers failed to yield to the other.

On Dec. 10, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a single car accident. Upon officer arrival it was found that Dustin Grooms, 27, of Hillsboro, operating a Toyota Corolla, failed to maintain control while traveling southbound on North West Street which was snow and ice covered, causing Grooms to slide off the right side of the roadway into the ditch. There was light damage to the vehicle, and a tow truck was required to remove the vehicle from the ditch.

Robert D. Throckmorton, 22, Washington C.H., possession of drugs, cocaine.

Clint Parsons, 49, Hillsboro, bench warrant failure to appear.

Cynthia Parsons, 42, Hillsboro, bench warrant failure to appear.

The weekday statistics from midnight Dec. 9 until 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 are as follows: 263 calls, six 911, 11 offense reports, seven crashes, 10 arrests and 163 security checks.

Arrest: Three bench warrant, one possession of drug instrument, one possession of drugs-cocaine, one theft, one carrying a concealed weapon, one illegal conveyance of weapons, one seat belt and one red light.

Arrests: Two bench warrants, one failure to yield, two theft and one disorderly conduct.

On Dec. 12, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a complaint of an intoxicated disorderly female at Highland District Hospital. Upon officer arrival the female was found in the emergency room screaming obscenities and then threw a cellular phone. The female was medically released from Highland District ER and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

Lynnette L. Roberds, 28, Hillsboro, bench warrant failure to appear.

Bradley Ray Smith, 24, Hillsboro, theft.

Warren C. Patton, 23, Hillsboro, FRA driving under suspension.

On Dec. 14, officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart, Harry Sauner Road, in reference to two subjects that were detained for shoplifting. Upon investigation, the subjects were arrested and transported to the Highland County Jail. Lonnie Harmon, 25, Mowrystown, was arrested for theft and Katalin Warner, 20, Blanchester was also arrested for theft.

On Dec. 14, Jessica Gipson, Hillsboro, reported to the department that her purse had been taken from her unlocked car while it was parked at the Old Depot on North West Street.

On Dec. 15, while on patrol, a Hillsboro Police Officer observed a female walking north on North High Street. The subject advised she had been assaulted and was walking to the hospital. The female was transported to Highland District Hospital with various injuries. Officers after investigation arrested Justin Nunn, 28, Hillsboro, for domestic violence and was transported to the Highland County Jail.

On Dec. 15, Deerbrook Apartments, Northview Drive, Hillsboro, reported that during a domestic situation, there was damage to a door.

Arrests:

James Carlier, 25, Mt. Orab, was cited for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

Justin Nunn, 28, Hillsboro, was arrested for criminal damaging.

On Dec. 18 at 8:58 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a complaint of criminal damaging at Napa Auto Parts, located on West Main Street.

On Dec. 18 at 3:59 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a single-car crash on North West Street in the area of Pea Ridge Road. Upon officer arrival, it was found that Robert Smith, 50, of Hillsboro, operating a 2009 Pontiac, struck a deer that ran in the path of the vehicle, making the collision unavoidable.

Barry B. Turner, 20, of New Vienna, failure to file for registration.

On Dec. 19, Wesley Fender, Hillsboro, driving a 2003 Ford, was backing from a parking space in the 100 block of North High Street and struck a 2007 Chevrolet that was driven by Patricia Whiting, Wilmington.

Arrest:

Milissa Kinney, Hillsboro, was cited for nuisance complaint.

On Dec. 19, Katherine Sexton, Hillsboro, driving a 2001 Chevrolet, was attempting to park in a parking space at Kmart, North High Street, and struck a 2005 Jeep that was owned by Tiffany Newman of Hillsboro.

On Dec. 20, Lori Cassner of Hillsboro, driving a 2012 Acura, was traveling on South East Street and failed to stop for a 1997 Toyota that was stopped in traffic and was being driven by Jason Hogan, Hillsboro. The Cassner vehicle struck the Hogan vehicle doing light damage.

Arrest:

Derek Rapp, 36, New Vienna, was arrested for bench warrant, failure to appear.

Stacy Flora, 30, Georgetown, was arrested for bench warrant, failure to appear.

On Dec. 21 at 2:27 a.m., a male and female were behind a business on Catherine Street. The male subject, identified as George Caraway, 45, Hillsboro, was in possession of a white powdery substance that was sent to BCI&I for evaluation.

On Dec. 21, Jack Little, Jr., Lynchburg, driving a 1999 Honda, was in the entrance to Rent-To-Own, North High Street, and started to back up and struck a 2004 Chevrolet that was being driven by Tonya Doss, Sardinia.

On Dec. 21, Michelle Stone, Hillsboro, driving a 2001 Ford, was attempting to pull into a parking space at Walmart and struck a parked 2008 Toyota owned by Jon Gast, Milford.

Arrests and Citations:

Bridget George, 29, was arrested for bench warrant.

Angela Brown, 48, Greenfield, bench warrant, failure to appear.

Zach Kier, 23, of Hillsboro, driving under suspension.

Vance A. Bailey, 21, Hillsboro, bench warrant.
