Cooper sets vote on sale

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. stockholders will vote at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 on whether to permit the sale of the company to Apollo Tyres of India.

Those entitled to vote are stockholders of record at the close of business Friday. The special meeting for the vote will be held at the law offices of Jones Day, 901 Lakeside Ave., North Point, Cleveland.

"Our combined company will offer customers a comprehensive portfolio of products and brands in the world's largest tire market of North America as well as the fastest growing geographies of China and India, among others," he said. "We are pleased the transaction continues to move forward to closing."
