BETHESDA — Real Life Community of Faith is bringing Pastor Ashley Barker Steele back to Real life for the Nov. 3 service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

They would like to invite all former members and friends to come and spend some time with Rev. Steele and to enjoy an inspirational message.

Rev. Steele was with Real Life Community of Faith for several years and was loved and admired by all of the Real Life Family. Be sure to come early and enjoy fellowship over coffee and snacks.

Rev. Steele is the director of the Urban Mission in Steubenville and has done a marvelous job during her tenure there.

Rev. Steele has been the executive director of the Urban Mission Ministries, Inc. since 2011. She is both a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington, D.C.), where she received a Master of Divinity, and of American University (Washington, D.C.), where she obtained a Master of Non Profit Management. Rev. Steele also received a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Malone University in Canton.

Growing up in the small town of Cadiz, Rev. Steele learned the values of hard work, dedication to one’s community, and love for one’s neighbor. She also developed a passion for people living in poverty – both home and abroad. From this, Rev. Steele received her call into the ministry. In 2007 Rev. Ashley was commissioned as a United Methodist pastor in the East Ohio Conference and in 2010 was ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church.

Prior to coming to the Urban Mission, Rev. Steele served as the pastor of Real Life Community of Faith UMC in Morristown, and as an associate pastor at Herndon United Methodist Church in Herndon, Va., for two years.

Rev. Steele lives in Imperial Pennsylvania with her husband, Mathew, and their three sons.

Real Life Community of Faith is located in Bethesda in the Epworth Center. The Epworth Center is behind the Bethesda Methodist Church and down the hill on the right.
