WOOSTER — The food lineup at Wooster Arts Jazz Fest 2018 will feature a distinctly local flavor.

All of the offerings at this year’s event come from Wooster-based businesses, according to Amy Kaylor, director of catering for Buehler’s Fresh Foods.

"All vendors are local to Wooster and all of them offer a completely different range of menu items," Kaylor said. "You’ll sure to find something to please everyone."

The Flamingo Jack’s food truck will serve up its eclectic comfort food, while Quite Frank food truck will offer hot dogs and other items. Lerch’s also will return with its signature donuts. This year, Lerch’s also will bring a fresh-squeezed lemonade stand, Kaylor said.

Ferris, the Buehler’s food truck, will make its debut at Arts Jazz Fest this year, offering a variety of items including mac and cheese bites, Kaylor said.

"We have the same number of food trucks, we just replaced one of them with the Buehler’s food truck to keep everything local here to Wooster," Kaylor said. "... We have a great lineup this year."

All of the food trucks accept cash or card, Kaylor said.

This year, Arts Jazz Fest also will include a 20-foot by 40-foot tent for people to sit in the shade and enjoy their food from the food trucks, and the music, Kaylor said.

And in addition to the food offerings at Arts Jazz Fest, Kaylor said the event acts as a boon for downtown restaurants.

"All of our downtown restaurants will be open that day, and they tend to do really well on that day because it attracts thousands of people to the area," Kaylor said.

And with the diverse lineups of food, music and art, Kaylor said she’s anticipating another great year for the Arts Jazz Fest.

"It’s always a fun event for the whole family," she said.
