The School of Art Collection and Galleries and the School of Art at Kent State University present the second annual "BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition," the School’s largest event of the year.
Eighteen students, showcasing an array of studio art disciplines, will have their artwork on display in gallery spaces throughout the entire Center for the Visual Arts, which spans the size of two football fields. The opening reception and celebration will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. April 20 for all 18 students’ exhibits. The exhibition will be on view from April 16 to 27. Both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
This event will mark the second time in the School’s history that all the students graduating this spring with their BFA degrees will have their thesis exhibits open simultaneously. Students majoring in a variety of areas of studio art will have their work on display during this exhibit, including drawing, painting, jewelry/metals/enameling, sculpture, glass, print media and photography, and ceramics.
Exhibiting artists include: Averi Rice, Lucas Boyle, Lillian Powell, Melissa Mendelson, Justin Golenberg, Kady Mazur, Dara Ronli Alper, Katelyn Evans, Caitlen Patrick, Miranda Stevenson, Tingting Wu, Kristina Muller, Elizabeth Schneider, Phaedra Scherl, Leah Mattingly, Jessica Hokes, Dadisi A.
