Big news for Downtown coffee connoisseurs: Brioso Coffee is relocating from its spot at 14 E. Gay St. Jeff Davis’ coffee shop, which he opened in 2001 at the corner of Gay and High streets, is moving into a smaller corner space across the street at The Citizens building, 51 N. High St. Look for it to open this fall. The Citizens is already home to chef Josh Dalton’s modernist restaurant, Veritas, and its sister cocktail bar, The Citizens Trust.

Fireproof Short North is now open at 1026 N. High St. (formerly Pies & Pints). Featuring hand-crafted cocktails and globally inspired tapas by chef Michael Koenig, the new restaurant and bar takes its name from its historic building on High Street.
