Beer of the Month: Endeavor Brewing Co. Altura

Style: Latin Lager

ABV: 5%

The summer months call for light-bodied and refreshing beers, the kind that cool you off while you’re relaxing by the pool, after mowing the lawn or just lounging on the porch. Endeavor Brewing’s summer entry is its mainstay Latin lager, Altura. The brewery employs citrusy New Zealand hops to mimic the flavor of a lime wedge in your beer. The fruity twist complements a biscuity, sweet and grassy flavor with a clean, crisp finish.—Nicholas Dekker
