NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Donald Trump won't be doing a question-and-answer session with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington next week.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) Donald Trump won't be doing a question-and-answer session with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington next week.

The group says in a statement the Republican presidential front-runner pulled out of the October 8 event because of concerns that he'd be "put on trial" by the group.

Chamber spokesman Ammar Campa-Najjar says Trump's team was worried about questions that he might be asked.

Trump has repeatedly been criticized by Hispanic groups for comments he's made about immigrants living in the country illegally and his plans for mass deportation if he's elected president.

Trump told CNN he'd never agreed to the event and didn't know about it.

But he said on Geraldo Rivera's radio show last month that he was planning a meeting with the group in October in Washington.
