BERLIN (AP) A German government spokesman says German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker have met with the heads of the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund to discuss the situation with cash-strapped Greece.

The official, who was speaking anonymously in line with department policy, said all parties in the talks at the Berlin Chancellery Monday evening agreed that everyone must work hard to help find a solution for Greece, which is running out of cash. They agreed to stay in close contact with each other and also with the Greek government.

Greece urgently needs to wind up negotiations with creditors on what reforms it must make to get a vital 7.2 billion-euro ($7.8 billion) bailout payment.
