The public is invited to next week’s annual Fairfield business expo, hosted by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
The Fairfield Chamber Business Showcase — with the theme “Rock ‘N’ Roll Legends” is 1:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Receptions Conference Center, 5975 Boymel Drive, Fairfield. Admission to the showcase is free.
Described as the chamber’s biggest networking event of the year, the showcase will feature door prizes throughout the show, a Rock ‘N’ Roll trivia booth with prize giveaways and a one-year membership to the Great Miami Valley YMCA, according to chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Kert Radel.
New this year are organizational booths focusing on “Career Education — Back to Work.” Butler Technology and Career Development Schools, Miami University Hamilton, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, Moler Pickins Beauty Academy, Ohio Means Jobs – Butler County and Sea Bird Publications will have displays featuring continuing education-work related components, Radel said.
“It’s a great opportunity to make business connections,” Radel said. “Where can you go and have over 100 businesses under one roof?”
A kick-off luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with special speaker and radio DJ Jim LaBarbara, known as the Music Professor. The luncheon cost is $30 per ticket. Call 513-881-5500 for more information or to RSVP.
The deadline to register for the luncheon is 2 p.m. Monday.
The business showcase features more than 100 booths for networking, displays and demonstrations. Vendors can also sell from the floor.
Also during the expo is A Taste of Fairfield from 4 to 5:30 p.m., with free samples of food from area restaurants and limited free beverages.
