SALINAS, Calif. (AP) - Police say two people were killed and five wounded when a gunman opened fire overnight into a crowd outside a California taco restaurant.

SALINAS, Calif. (AP) Police say two people were killed and five wounded when a gunman opened fire overnight into a crowd outside a California taco restaurant.

Police suspect the shooting in Salinas was gang-related and say an altercation inside the restaurant spilled outside, where an unidentified man pulled a gun and began firing into the crowd.

One man died at the scene. Another person was pronounced dead a short time later. One of the other victims was critically wounded.

None of the victims has been identified.
