Columbus C.E.O. has won three statewide honors in the 2012 Best of Ohio Journalism Awards
Columbus C.E.O. has won three statewide honors in the 2012 Best of Ohio Journalism Awards, sponsored by the Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists. Awards will be presented at a Sept. 30 banquet at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
Former staff writer Jennifer Wray took second place in the Best Business Reporting category for a portfolio of stories written throughout 2011. She also received second-place honors in the Best Business Profile category for "Burger Biz," our November 2011 cover story about White Castle Systems. That story also won a first-place award in the 2012 Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards, sponsored by the Press Club of Cleveland.
Freelance writer Lisa Hooker scored a second-place win in the Best Medical/Science Reporting category for her story on the increasing use of mobile technology by Central Ohio physicians. "Mobile Medicine" ran in November 2011.
