Alcohol Deliveries LLC is selected to receive money and other benefits as winner of accelerator program.
Columbus-based Alcohol Deliveries LLC has been selected by Lumos Innovation's accelerator program to receive benefits in the form of a financial investment of up to $240,000, Silicon Valley business mentors, marketing services and an office in Downtown Columbus. Alcohol Deliveries is one of seven Ohio companies to receive support from Lumos; 192 applied for the program. Columbus-based Lumos' goal is to provide an environment for small startups, growing businesses and corporations to exchange and collaborate with one another. The accelerator is one contributor to that mission.
Alcohol Deliveries provides a platform for liquor and grocery stores to deliver spirits and snacks to the users of an on-demand mobile application, detailed in CEO's Tech Talk feature in August. Co-founder and chief marketing officer Anthony Reynolds says the app is an opportunity to give users a safe alternative to the late-night beer-run.
Alcohol Deliveries currently serves Columbus with plans to expand to Cleveland and Cincinnati by year's end.
