One of Columbus' niche industries is HIT-otherwise known as healthcare IT. And, for an update on the industry, Columbus 2020 released a third profile on it-marking that in the first half of 2015, Ohio led all midwestern states with $158.6 million in investment in healthcare startups. STEM Scholarships: This week, 144 high school students from 44 Ohio high schools received $500,000 worth of total scholarships in the 2016 Believe in Ohio Program 2nd Annual STEM Commercialization and Business Plan State Competition.
