Squire Patton Boggs, a New York based law firm with offices in Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland, has reached an agreement to combine with California-based Carroll, Burdick & McDonough.
A statement released yesterday said Carroll Burdick will "act as an integrated part" of Squire Patton. Carroll Burdick is primarily a global litigation and products-risk management firm. Squire, with 45 offices and 1,500 attorneys in 21 countries, provides a wide scope of practice areas including brand/consumer products, international trade and international dispute resolution.
Squire has approximately 70 lawyers in its Columbus office. Squire Global Communications Director Angelo Kakolyris says no additional staff will join the Columbus office when the firms combine in March.
