The Democratic National Committee is expected to make an official announcement later today.Philadelphiawas picked over both Columbus and New York City. Columbus was vying to make Ohio the host of both the Democratic and Republicannominating conventions. The Republican National Convention is scheduled to take place July 18-21 in Cleveland. According toExperience Columbus, the convention would have brought approximately45,000 visitors to the city and have an economic impact worth$150 to $200 million.
