NATIONWIDE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
Lee Ann Wallace, Chief Nursing Officer
Wallace will become the chief nursing officer in March. She was selected following a national search and is currently the vice president of Neonatal Services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. In her new role, Wallace will lead the largest employee group at Nationwide Children’s, with more than 2,500 staff RNs, professional RNs and management RNs, in addition to more than 3,000 additional patient care services staff for a total of more than 5,500 staff members. The team includes the hospital’s more than 70 offsite locations throughout Ohio and six Neonatal Intensive Care Units run by Nationwide Children’s staff in Columbus area adult hospitals.
Andelyn Biosciences is an affiliate company that will manufacture gene therapy products for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. It plans to build a new commercial manufacturing facility scheduled to begin operations in 2023. It will be Central Ohio’s first commercial-scale Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) clinical manufacturing facility devoted to gene therapies.
