The organization celebrating businesses with a social mission turned 5 this year.
SocialVentures hosted its annual event, Positioned to Prosper, Aug. 6 at the Columbus Museum of Art.
The success of 11 local social enterprises was highlighted at the event, including Besa Promise, Fairhaven Lawn Care and Freedom a la Cart. Social enterprises can be for-profit businesses with a social mission or revenue-producing business lines maintained by nonprofit organizations.
This year, SocialVentures marks five years since its founding. Here's Columbus CEO's update on the organization from the August edition.
