Topics will range from technology to consumer trends to logistics.

Columbus Chamber will host its annual Retail Summit Aug. 8 at The Point at Otterbein. “New Meets Next” will be a daylong event featuring 15 breakout sessions on retail, technology and hospitality. More than 350 people are expected to attend.

Three keynotes will include Kevin Myers, chief marketing and information technology officer for Donatos, who will help the audience envision a day when pizza crust is 3D-printed and nutrients are pre-programmed for each order. Root Insurance co-founder and CTO Dan Manges will share the strategies the company uses to innovate its way to rapid growth—Root was recently valued at $1 billion.

Presenters from Columbus’ robust retail ecosystem and beyond will include Fitch, CaaStle, Nationwide Insurance, Cardinal Health, Bunzl, Big Lots, WD Partners, Steiner & Associates, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Casto and more. Topics and speakers were selected by the Chamber’s steering committee, which includes organizations and companies from across the region.

The 2019 Franklin County Retail Report, which tracks trends in sales tax revenue, employment, real estate and ecommerce will be released at the event.
