The lot has been vacant for 11 years.
The Pizzuti Cos. announced the purchase of vacant Graham Ford dealership at 707 W. Broad St in Franklinton. The 6-acre lot, which sits directly off an exit of state Route 315, has been vacant since the car dealership went out of business in 2008. Demolition will begin sometime in 2019’s second quarter.
Pizzuti didn’t specify the plan for the lot in the release, but the developer’s recent projects in the Short North point to the likelihood of mixed uses at the Graham site. CEO Joel Pizzuti said he is looking forward to being part of the Franklinton community “for years to come.”
The Graham Ford lot had been the subject of speculation in previous months, as developers have set their sights on Franklinton as an area ripe for growth. The Pizzuti project will join other area developments, such as a brand-new CoverMyMeds headquarters worth $240 million and Kaufman Development’s mixed-use Gravity projects.
