LOUDONVILLE — Linda Snowbarger, administrator of Colonial Manor Health Care Center in Loudonville, was presented the Eli Pack Facility Leadership Award at the 52nd Annual Convention and Exposition of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) in Orlando, Fla., April 24.
Fewer than 11 percent of facilities nationwide achieve this honor, with 1,717 facilities making the selection criteria. Nationally, 351 Health Care Administrators from 45 states were awarded the facility leadership award.
Mrs. Snowbarger was one of 38 Eli Pack Facility Leadership Award recipients recognized by 275 peers at the awards luncheon during the convention. Based on the premise that facility excellence reflects leadership excellence, the award recognizes the administrator of record who provided the leadership for the full 2017 calendar year.
Eligibility for this award is based on three years of skilled nursing facility survey data, including the health, fire, safety and complaint surveys, as well as top quartile performance on designated quality measures. Criteria also included an 85 percent or greater facility occupancy and a three-year avoidance of special focus facility status. This prestigious award is made possible with the support of ABILITY (TM) Network Inc.
The award is named after one of the ACHCA's most revered leaders, the late Eli Pack, a former executive director of the Ballard Rehabilitation Center in Des Plaines, Ill., for over 30 years.
In that position, Mr. Pack embodied excellence as an administrator that cared for his residents, their families, and his community. The award is presented annually in member of Mr. Pack, a consummate member of the ACHCA dedicated to advancing professionalism and leadership in long-term care.
