Steven-Joseph Farhat, 19, of Ravenna was elected senator of Kent State Undergraduate Student Government at Kent State University on March 14. Farhat will represent the students in the College of Education, Health and Human Services.

Over the past several years, Farhat has been civically engaged. In November 2017, he was one of seven students selected by Kent State University to attend a leadership conference hosted by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and U.S. Sen. Rob Portman.

Farhat was born and raised in Ravenna and graduated from Ravenna High School in 2016. He is a sophomore education/political science dual major.
