Area youth are invited to attend a 4-H workshop focusing on making all sorts of candy. Types of candy include dipped pretzels, nut clusters, turtles, fudge, peanut butter cups and molded mints.
Participants also will make painted chocolate suckers and molds. Everyone will get to take home what they make. The workshop will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ashland County office of OSU Extension, located at 1763 Ohio 60, in the Ashland County Service Center.
This workshop is open to any 4-H’er, or anyone interested in joining 4-H this year, who is in third grade or older. The cost is $5 per person, payable at the door, which includes supplies for all of the activities. To register, call the office at 419-281- 8242 by Thursday, Jan. 18. Space is limited, so register today. This program is planned and conducted by members of the 4-H Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Committee.
