In a story in The Newcomerstown News dated Oct. 4, it was noted that a Clow property was owned by George Brode. In fact, the property is owned by a corporation known as the Bridge Street Development Corporation. The News regrets the error.
The annual Community Hog Roast sponsored by Light in the Valley Ministries is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at 101 West Canal Street in Newcomerstown.
The menu will include pulled pork, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, corn, desserts and beverages. There will be food, fun, fellowship and crafts.

Calvary United Methodist Church, at the corner of State Street and Heller Drive, will hold a spaghetti supper on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. The church is handicapped accessible and the supper is open to the public.
Class of 1960
The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1960 will meet at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Allison’s Fine Diner, located at 11587 Upper Gitchrist Rd., Mt. Vernon, Ohio 43050.
Newcomerstown Mayor Pat Cadle reported the Tuscarawas County Health Department is sponsoring a tire cleanup day at the Newcomerstown Street Department on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon. It is a free drop off for only Tuscarawas County residents. You must provide a valid photo ID and disclose the origin location of the tires. No tractor tires will be accepted. There is no limit and there will be assistance there. There will be a one-way entrance from State Street to the Street Department and exit from beside the Fire House to S. College Street. There will be two containers available. When these containers are full, the acceptance of tires will be ended no matter what time it is.
A benefit concert for Harley and Marianne Dakin will be Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at Everal’s Chapel. Chestnut Hill will provide musical entertainment.
