MILLERSBURG — The Holmes County Historical Society is offering an outbound bus tour for members and the public on Saturday, May 5.
Wine, Dine & Magic Tour combines a bit of history with historic dining and entertainment. The day starts with a stop at the Dandelion Festival and wine tasting at Breitenbach Winery with lunch on your own. The next stop is at the School House Winery in Dover. This historic one-room school is the backdrop for tasting and selection of award-winning wines.
Then it’s off to one of the most fascinating tours you will ever have of the McKinley Monument. You will be taken on a guided tour rarely seen into the inner features of the monument including the basement and between the walls. We will dine at the historic Bender’s Tavern, oldest restaurant in Canton, established 1902. We end the day with a show at the Palace Theater called Battle of the Magicians, a comedy, magic and illusionist extravaganza.
Tickets are $105 for members and $110 for non-members. Call for info or reservations at 330-674-0022. Credit cards and checks accepted. Email the Historical Society for additional information at firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for reservations is May 1 or until sold out. Due to contractual agreements with the bus company and attractions, there are no refunds for cancellations less then 30 days from tour date.
