ARCHBOLD - The Four County Career Center Board of Education recently approved five adult education instructors.

The approved instructors are Carol Hibbard, Elizabeth Keefe, Thomas Stahl, Steven Barker and Chris Kerns.

In other matters, the board approved a tax abatement between Henry County and Graminex for an expansion of the company’s facility and waived the 45-day time period requirement.

As part of the proposed agreement, Graminex would provide 10 percent in gross payments to Four County Career Center in lieu of taxes for 10 years. The agreement also has 20 percent allotted to the Village of Deshler and 70 percent to the Patrick Henry Local School District.

The board also:

•Approved the five-year forecast.

•Approved the advance of $10,000 from the general fund to the uniform supplies fund. The money will be returned to the general fund once it’s received.

•Accepted a donation of 42 ceramic bowls from Greg Wesche to the veterinary assisting program.

•Approved a resolution in support of school levies and issues for Ayersville, Bryan, Holgate, Napoleon and Northeastern Local.

The next board meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 in the board room at the career center.
