The Dow Jones industrial average fell 128.57 points, or 0.84 percent, to close at 15,129.67.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 10.2 points, or 0.6 percent, to 1,681.55.

The Nasdaq composite fell 10.12 points, or 0.27 percent, to 3,771.48.

For the year so far:

The Dow is up 2,025.53 points, or 15.46 percent.

The S&P 500 is up 255.36 points, or 17.91 percent.

The Nasdaq is up 751.97 points, or 24.9 percent.
