Healthcare Achievement Awards

Columbus CEO magazine is proud to introduce the second Health Care Achievement Awards.

In the March 2014 issue, Columbus CEO will recognize outstanding Central Ohio health-care professionals and organizations who are making a difference in the lives of their patients, colleagues and community.

Awards will be given in these eight categories:

Practitioner of the Year

Recognizes an individual (physician, nurse, physician’s assistant, etc.) who provides outstanding care and/or advances the practice of medicine

Executive of the Year

Recognizes an individual who has had a positive impact through his or her outstanding efforts on the administrative side of health care

R&D Initiative

Recognizes an outstanding innovation in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or similar health-care initiatives that improve the practice of medicine and/or patient care. Open to individuals and organizations.

Community Partner

Recognizes an individual or organization who reaches out to underserved populations, educates, promotes or otherwise shows a dedication to improving the local health-care climate

Wellness Program

Recognizes an outstanding achievement by an employer in establishing a wellness program for their own employees

Lifetime Achievement

Recognizes a longtime or retired health-care professional who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, knowledge, decision-making skills and commitment to his or her organization, patients and/or profession

Volunteer of the Year

Recognizes an individual of any age who has made a positive impact by devoting time, dollars or both to help local health-care organizations, patients and/or the community

Rising Above

Recognizes outstanding patient care, volunteerism or any facet where an individual or organization has risen above adversity or challenges to succeed—going above and beyond to make a meaningful impact on health care in the community 

Making a Nomination

To nominate a professional or organization you believe is deserving of this honor, download and fill out the category-specific forms at the top of this page.

Last year’s winners are not eligible, but 2013 finalists can be nominated again.

Nomination materials will be used by the editorial staff to compile stories on the winners and finalists. Winners and finalists may be asked to provide more information or photographs as part of the March 2014 issue.

All completed nomination forms must be received by Oct. 15.

Choosing the Winners

A special selection committee will review all nominations and choose a group of finalists and winners. Winners and finalists will be notified directly by Columbus CEO at the address and/or email provided on the nomination form.

In addition to appearing in the magazine’s March 2014 issue, winners and finalists will be honored at a special event in early 2014. More details will be announced at a later date.
