Kasich stops at bowling alley, but no stones skipped

DAYTON -- Utter, sheer disappointment from the campaign trail.

Gov. John Kasich didn't try his hand in bowling.

Kasich's second of three campaign stops today took him to Poelking Lanes. He spoke briefly to supporters, shook some hands and snapped some pictures before zipping off to the next stop. There were no bowling shoes, strikes, or gutters from the governor -- frustrating, if no one else, media members with cell phone cameras.

"I used to go out and do it," Kasich said. "Then I realized that now there's all these people who want to make fun of everything I do."

It's not as though Kasich is without athletic talent, scoring at minimum some high-profile golf outings.
