Clippers overpower Braves 11-4

Tim Fedroff hit a three-run home run, Matt Carson atwo-run shotand Ryan Rohlinger a sololong ballto lift the Clippers past the Gwinnett Braves 11-4 tonight in Huntington Park.

Carson began a Columbus comback from a 3-0 deficit by following a walk to Chun-Hsui Chen with his homer in the fourth inning. Fedroff's home run, his first since July 6, landed a atop the balcony in right field and capped a six-run Columbus sixth inning. Rohlinger lined a ball into the bleachers in left to open the eighth.

Cleveland Indians pitcher Josh Tomlin made an injury rehab start for the Clippers. He pitched five innings, allowing three runs and seven hits. He left the game trailing 3-2.

Blake Wood got the win in relief. Andrew Russell took the loss. Stefan Gartrell and Joe Leonard each had two RBI for the Braves.
