Weekend charity event will feature Ariana Grande performance, showjumping competition to benefit the Center for Family Safety and Healing
Abigail and Les Wexner will host the 16th annual New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix and Family Day at their home on Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road this Sunday. Tickets are still available for the event, which will benefit the Center for Family Safety and Healing.
The New Albany Classic has raised over $17 million for the center since its inception in 1998.
Mrs. Wexner founded the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence in 1998; the organization merged with the Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Nationwide Children's Hospital in 2011 to become the Center for Family Safety and Healing. Mrs. Wexner chairs the center and established the Classic for its benefit.
Presented by JP Morgan Chase, the 2013 New Albany Classic will feature a TweenBrands concert with Ariana Grande and Emblem3. Olympic equestrians will compete for $125,000 in prize money in the international showjumping competition.
A retirement ceremony for Authentic, the most decorated horse in Olympic history, will be held at 2 p.m. followed by the Grand Prix. The TweenBrands concert, presented by Justice & Brothers, will be held at 11 a.m.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost $20 for ages 11 and over.
