Tim Johnson is a native of Columbus. He is married with two children, ages 8 and 11, and Maggie, a Bernese Mountain Dog.
Tim graduated from Kenyon College in 1986 with a degree in anthropology. His interest in photography started during study-abroad programs in Greece and Honduras. He has worked as a photojournalist and photo editor with the Chillicothe Gazette, Huntington Herald-Dispatch, Suburban News Publications, Columbus Monthly and Columbus CEO. He has been associated with CEO for almost 10 years and was named photo editor for Dispatch Magazines in April 2012.
His interests include fishing, mushroom hunting, kayaking, physical fitness, grilling and reading in his hammock. Tim recently completed a four-day solo kayak trip down the Scioto River and is involved with his son’s Little League baseball team.
Tim loves all aspects of photography but is especially interested in photographing artists, musicians and beer.
