In late May, Columbus leaders celebrated the news that the region had generated more than 150,000 new jobs since 2010, hitting an ambitious economic goal two years early. But central Ohio isn't the only community experiencing boom times over the past eight years. Columbus is outpacing its closest sister cities in the Midwest, but it is far behind similarly-sized communities elsewhere, particularly in the fast-growing South.
