For recent Upper Arlington High School graduate Disha Shidham, style is something to keep tabs on, but it shouldn't require you to keep tabs open.

Savy, a web extension, allows online retailers to notify users when items enter a preferred price range.

On a given site, a shopper can enter a maximum price point for an item and then is contacted via email if the item falls there.

Inspired by a high school classmate who bookmarked online shopping sites to conduct price checks, this iteration streamlines the price-tracking process.

A price of $15 per month allows online retailers with the plug-in to receive analytics that can inform pricing strategy.

While Shidham hasn't received any funding for the startup, that's not a negative for her. “I honestly think funding is best when you are at a stage when you're looking to really grow the company,” she says.

Shidham says her youth doesn't mean she's inexperienced. She has participated in several entrepreneurship programs, including at Draper University in Silicon Valley.
