If you're counting your blessings this season, here's one to include on the list: Columbus is blessed to have amazing corporate and nonprofit leaders.

The high caliber of local leadership is never more apparent than when Columbus CEO teams up with the Capital University School of Management and Leadership to conduct our annual survey of central Ohio business and community executives.

In this sixth year of the Central Ohio CEO Survey, we were pleased to present an outstanding array of 40 nominees-10 each in the four CEO categories of large for-profit, small for-profit, large nonprofit and small nonprofit. The nominees were suggested by area chambers of commerce and organizations that work with the nonprofit community.

Surveys were sent to top executives throughout central Ohio-inviting them to vote for CEO of the Year in each of the four categories and to answer questions about their expectations for the coming year. Most responses were received by return mail; some executives completed their surveys online.

Capital University Associate Professor Keirsten Moore and Columbus Academy Director of Diversity and Community Life Beckett Broh conducted the study and analyzed the results. Their findings on executives' economic outlook and business concerns are presented following the CEO of the Year winner and finalist profiles.

As a group, the winners represent key elements of what drives a strong local economy and makes Columbus a great community. They include:

a fourth-generation leader of an iconic, family-owned American brand, an entrepreneur who started a popular T-shirt business in his parents' basement, an executive who has rallied the community to unprecedented levels of support for good causes and a celebrated champion for job growth and prosperity across the Columbus region.

Now we are proud to present the sixth class of CEO of the Year winners and finalists!
